Abstract:
Dr. Silver has been using the atonement metaphor since he began working with veterans in 1972. His incorporation of EMDR cognitive interweave with this metaphor was probably around 1990-91. The first version of this handout was prepared for Level II EMDR Institute trainings when Dr. Silver did presentations on working with veterans in 1992.
