Francine Shapiro Library
The Francine Shapiro Library is dedicated to Francine Shapiro, originator and developer of the Adaptive Information Processing Model (AIP) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).The Francine Shapiro Library (FSL) is the premier repository for scholarly articles and other important writings related to the AIP and EMDR. The intent of the FSL is twofold: (1) to electronically house documents related to EMDR or AIP and (2) to maintain a comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date list of citations related to AIP and EMDR.
The Library is hosted by Northern Kentucky University as a service to EMDR International Association. Please visit their site for full information about the association and its activities at www.emdria.org.
How to Use the Francine Shapiro Library
Many, but not all, of the documents cited in the FSL can be accessed. Because of national and international copyright laws, the only documents accessible through the Library are those that are already in the public domain. Where this occurs, a hyperlink has been established. Citations with hyperlinks are highlighted by the color red and can be accessed by double clicking on the document title. Most of the journal articles exist in the public domain and are freely accessible. Articles in the Journal of EMDR Practice and Research are only accessible if you are a member of the EMDR International Association. Books and book sections are linked to sites where the books can be purchased.
